General Practitioner - Clinical Lead

Location: Torquay, Devon
Sessions: 6-8 sessions per week
Salary: Up to £125,000 FTE, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced GP Clinical Lead to join a well-established primary care service in Torquay.

This is an ideal position for a GP who enjoys a combination of high-quality clinical work and clinical leadership, with the opportunity to help shape the ongoing development of the practice and improve patient care.

The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the Practice Manager and wider clinical team to support the delivery of high-quality patient services, while continuing to provide routine GP clinical sessions.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering high-quality GP consultations across a varied patient population

  • Supporting clinical governance and maintaining high standards of patient care

  • Providing clinical leadership and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team

  • Contributing to QOF, audits, CQC standards and other quality improvement initiatives

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the practice action plan

  • Helping to improve patient experience, access and clinical outcomes

  • Supporting colleagues with clinical decision-making and professional development

  • Taking an active role in the ongoing development of the practice

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced GP who:

  • Holds GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List

  • Has GP accreditation / MRCGP or equivalent experience

  • Has previous experience or a strong interest in clinical leadership

  • Is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

  • Has a good understanding of QOF, DES/LCS and clinical governance

  • Is confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Has a proactive approach to service development and improving patient outcomes
