The Role
The Practice Nurse will play a key role in the delivery of nursing services to the practice population, working closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and other allied health professionals. - Delivery of chronic disease management, including asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension
- Cervical cytology and women’s health services
- Childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
- Health promotion, lifestyle advice, and patient education
- Wound care, dressings, and minor injury management
- Travel health assessments and vaccinations (where trained)
- Infection prevention and control and cold chain management
- Supporting QOF and enhanced services
- Participation in audits, clinical meetings, and service development
