We are recruiting for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join a well-established luxury nursing home near Sale, Manchester.
Offering a salary of £55,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional, person-centred care while supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of a high-quality nursing home.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Deputy Manager looking to progress within a supportive organisation that values quality care, professional development and clinical excellence.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the home delivers outstanding clinical care, excellent resident experiences and full regulatory compliance.
You will lead by example, inspire the nursing and care teams, and help create a positive, caring environment for both residents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager with the operational and clinical management of the nursing home.
- Lead, motivate and develop the nursing and care teams.
- Ensure the highest standards of person-centred nursing care.
- Oversee medication management and clinical governance.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and best practice.
- Conduct clinical audits and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Support recruitment, staff supervision, appraisals and training.
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Deputise for the Home Manager during periods of absence.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN.
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse within a nursing home or elderly care setting.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and safeguarding.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred elderly care.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to lead by example.
