Our client is recruiting an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee a 1-bed children’s residential home in Runcorn. The service provides specialist care for a young person with emotional and behavioural needs and operates with a strong focus on safeguarding, stability, and positive outcomes. This opportunity is suitable for an established manager or an experienced deputy ready to step into registration, who can demonstrate strong leadership and regulatory knowledge within children’s residential care.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the children’s home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards
- Act as the Registered Manager with responsibility for safeguarding and child welfare
- Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team
- Oversee care planning, risk management, and behaviour support strategies
- Maintain effective working relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Manage audits, policies, and quality assurance processes
Candidate Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent / working towards)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to manage safeguarding, staffing, and operational standards
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care
