Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + additional performance-related bonus structure.

  • The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working within children\'s residential care.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or significant experience as a Deputy Manager looking to progress.
  • A sound understanding of Ofsted regulations and children\'s home legislation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving positive outcomes.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home.
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit, develop, supervise, and inspire a high-performing staff team.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
  • Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and risk management are consistently maintained.
  • Develop and monitor care plans that promote positive outcomes for each child.
  • Manage staffing, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Build positive relationships with families, local authorities, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home to achieve strong Ofsted inspection outcomes.
  • Promote a positive, supportive culture that enables children to reach their full potential.
