Our fantastic client, an elderly and dementia nursing home based in Leamington Spa, are currently hiring for a registered care home manager.

Overall Objectives:

  • Ensure the effective, efficient, and safe running of the Home through efficient management of resources.

  • Achieve the Home’s aims and objectives within CQC requirements.

  • Ensure staff compliance with management procedures and quality standards, and initiate corrective action as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Management and Administration:

  • Ensure staffing levels comply with CQC requirements.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to all staff.

  • Notify the Director of any issues requiring their attention.

  • Maintain up-to-date records and information for staff and residents.

  • Implement and monitor standards, and ensure value for money in purchases.

  • Manage the Home’s resources efficiently and economically.

  • Communicate professionally and respond to residents and families as a priority.

  • Act up or represent the Director as required.

  • Provide monthly monitoring information and other reports as agreed.

  • Work as the nurse in charge once a week and provide cover for the RGNs if needed.

  • Experienced Care Home Manager 2 years minimum

  • Experienced Deputy manager with a RGN/RMN Nurse pin with most experience in private sector

  • Vast experience as an RGN/RMN Nurse

  • Proven track record of nursing home management

  • Minimum career jumps (or reasons why)

  • Proficiency in managing budgets, resources, and operations of a care home

  • Registered with CQC

  • Commitment to ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with changes in the sector
