Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE
Location: Stafford / Near Newport, Shropshire (excellent access from M54)
Contract: Full-time | Permanent

Our client, a small, family-owned and ethically driven children’s residential care provider, is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist children’s home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring high‑quality care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for the children and young people supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the residential children’s home
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a dedicated staff team
  • Creating a safe, therapeutic, trauma‑informed environment
  • Managing referrals, placements, and professional relationships
  • Oversight of staffing, budgets, rotas, and operational compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes for young people

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
  • Strong understanding of EBD, safeguarding, and children’s legislation
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding child‑centred care
