Referrals/Commissioning Manager – Children’s Residential Services
Based at Head Office – Burton-on-Trent
Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Permanent Position

Are you an experienced Referrals or Commissioning Manager looking to make a genuine impact in children\’s residential care? We are a well-established provider of Ofsted-registered children\’s homes, and we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to manage the referral and placement process across our services.

About the Role:
As the Referrals/Commissioning Manager, you will be the key point of contact for managing incoming referrals and ensuring that all placements are handled with the highest level of care, compliance, and efficiency. You will work closely with placing authorities, internal teams, and home managers to ensure every child is matched with the right home that meets their needs, in accordance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage all referrals and placement enquiries across our homes

Liaise with local authorities, social workers, and internal stakeholders to assess suitability

Ensure all placements comply with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements

Maintain accurate records of all referrals, placements, and communication

Provide clear and timely reports and updates to senior management

Contribute to the development of best practice in placement processes

Support the overall growth and occupancy levels of the service

Requirements:
Proven experience in a referrals, commissioning, or placement management role within children’s residential care

Strong working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
