A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking GP practice in Andover, Hampshire. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about high-quality patient care, enjoys working collaboratively, and wants to make a meaningful impact within the local community.

You will be part of a close-knit, welcoming clinical team providing care to over 11,000 patients. Ongoing support is built into the role, including bi-weekly meetings with the Clinical Lead, ensuring you feel supported, valued, and continuously developed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care
  • Undertake treatment room duties including:
  • Chronic disease management (particularly Asthma and COPD)
  • Immunisations and vaccinations
  • Health screening and health promotion
  • Support and contribute to the audit and development of clinical standards
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment
  • Assist in the development and delivery of health promotion programmes and screening clinics
  • Ensure the safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment
  • Provide advice and clinical support to patients face-to-face and via telephone
  • Actively participate in team meetings to promote best practice

About You

  • Registered General Nurse with current UK NMC registration
  • Previous primary care / general practice experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and confident working in a changing healthcare environment
  • Good understanding of local and national healthcare policies
  • Confident using IT systems (EMIS Web experience desirable)
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email

Essential Requirements

  • Current UK NMC registration
  • Primary care experience
