Registered Manager / Care Home Manager / Nursing Home Manager

Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + Market-Leading Benefits + Bonus Full-time | Senior Management Position

We are looking for an accomplished Registered Manager / Care Home Manager to take responsibility for the leadership, quality and day-to-day operation of a well-established care service in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The Opportunity

You will take overall responsibility for the home, providing strong and visible leadership while ensuring residents receive consistently high standards of safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

You will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement and make a genuine impact on the quality and performance of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management and leadership of the home.
  • Maintaining excellent care, operational and CQC standards.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing team.
  • Overseeing care planning, medication, safeguarding, audits and risk management.
  • Managing recruitment, induction, supervision and staff performance.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Managing staffing, resources, budgets and occupancy.
  • Driving continuous improvement and maintaining a positive care culture.
  • Working effectively with CQC and other external stakeholders.

About You

  • Proven care home management experience.
  • Previous responsibility for a service rated Good or Outstanding by CQC.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading and developing care teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, quality assurance and risk management.
  • A genuine commitment to outstanding, person-centred care.
  • Nursing Qualification

A nursing qualification or clinical background would be advantageous, particularly for candidates with experience in nursing, dementia, complex care or specialist services.
