Successful Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience managing a children’s residential home.
- Registered Manager status or eligibility to register with Ofsted.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete if required).
- Strong knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams.
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD and complex needs.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day management and operation of the children’s home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, promoting a positive and therapeutic care environment.
- Ensure the home’s Statement of Purpose is implemented and upheld at all times.
- Recruit, supervise, support, and develop staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, training, and performance management.
