This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced and compassionate leader to take strategic responsibility for a portfolio of children’s homes, driving service excellence and inspiring high-performing teams to deliver outstanding care and support for vulnerable young people.
The Role
As Operations Director, you will oversee the operational management of multiple children’s homes, ensuring services are safe, compliant, and delivering exceptional outcomes. Reporting into the executive team, you will play a critical role in the strategic growth and development of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Registered Managers to deliver high-performing, fully compliant services.
- Ensure consistent delivery of care that meets and exceeds Ofsted standards, with a focus on achieving ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ outcomes.
- Implement operational strategies that enhance service quality, staff development, and child-centred practice.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and therapeutic care.
- Contribute to business growth, including the opening of new services.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a highly experienced and emotionally intelligent leader with:
- Significant senior management experience in children’s residential care or a similar regulated environment.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Proven success in leading multi-site operations and achieving regulatory excellence.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Passion, integrity, and a child-first approach.
