Skills & Qualifications Required
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
- Previous experience managing Ofsted inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, people management, and organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of children’s residential care regulations and safeguarding practices
- Full UK driving licence
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing care team
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
- Promote positive outcomes and provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Manage safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care and service delivery
- Build positive relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
- Take responsibility for achieving and maintaining a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
