Nursing Home Manager – Dementia Care

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £62,000-£68,000 + Excellent Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Manager to lead a warm and welcoming nursing home in Plymouth. Our client provides high-quality residential and nursing care with a strong focus on supporting individuals living with dementia. As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical, personal, and social care, while fostering a positive, supportive environment for both residents and staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the home ensuring compliance with CQC standards
  • Lead, support, and develop the care and nursing team
  • Maintain excellent standards of clinical practice and dementia care

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners

Requirements

  • Valid NMC PIN (Registered Nurse – Adult or Mental Health)
  • Proven managerial or deputy management experience within a nursing or care home setting
  • Strong background in dementia care
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • In‑depth knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional resident‑focused care
