We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the dual registration and operation of two newly opening 3-bed EBD children’s homes in Nottingham (NG9). This is a unique and exciting opportunity to oversee the full registration, development, and leadership of two services, playing a pivotal role in establishing high-quality, child-centred care for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
About the Homes
- 2 x 3-bed EBD children’s homes
- Brand-new services
- OFSTED registration required for both homes (not yet submitted)
- Focused on delivering outstanding care, stability, and positive outcomes for young people
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the dual OFSTED registration process for both homes and prepare for inspections
- Recruit, lead, and develop two high-performing staff teams
- Ensure both homes remain fully compliant with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Promote safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments across both services
- Oversee occupancy levels, budgets, and performance for each home
- Work collaboratively with placing authorities, external professionals, and senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and young people
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or experienced Deputy ready to step up) within EBD children’s homes
- Strong working knowledge of OFSTED requirements and registration processes, including dual or multi-site management
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of care
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
