We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the dual registration and operation of two newly opening 3-bed EBD children’s homes in Nottingham (NG9). This is a unique and exciting opportunity to oversee the full registration, development, and leadership of two services, playing a pivotal role in establishing high-quality, child-centred care for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

About the Homes

  • 2 x 3-bed EBD children’s homes
  • Brand-new services
  • OFSTED registration required for both homes (not yet submitted)
  • Focused on delivering outstanding care, stability, and positive outcomes for young people

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the dual OFSTED registration process for both homes and prepare for inspections
  • Recruit, lead, and develop two high-performing staff teams
  • Ensure both homes remain fully compliant with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Promote safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments across both services
  • Oversee occupancy levels, budgets, and performance for each home
  • Work collaboratively with placing authorities, external professionals, and senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and young people

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or experienced Deputy ready to step up) within EBD children’s homes
  • Strong working knowledge of OFSTED requirements and registration processes, including dual or multi-site management
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of care
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
