We are seeking an experienced Care Home Manager / Residential Home Manager to lead a high-quality elderly residential care home on the Isle of Wight. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Elderly Care Home Manager with a strong background in health and social care management to take full operational responsibility for a residential service supporting older people. Applicants must currently be based on the Isle of Wight.
Key Responsibilities
- Full day-to-day management of an elderly residential care home
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, care standards and best practice
- Leading, motivating and developing care, nursing and support teams
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred elderly care
- Managing staffing levels, budgets, occupancy and performance
- Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance standards are met
- Acting as the Registered Manager (or willingness to register with CQC)
About You
- Proven experience as a Care Home Manager, Residential Home Manager or Registered Manager
- Background in elderly care within the health and social care sector
- Strong working knowledge of CQC frameworks and inspections
- Confident leader with excellent communication and people management skills
- Passionate about improving the lives of older people in residential care
- Must be based on the Isle of Wight (this is essential)
