Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Care Home Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and transform an elderly care home?

We are recruiting an outstanding Registered Manager to join a well‑established elderly residential care home on the beautiful Isle of Wight. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Care Home Manager with a proven background in turnaround management, improving CQC ratings, increasing occupancy, and building high‑performing teams.

A generous relocation package is available for candidates relocating from the UK mainland.

The Opportunity

As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational, financial, and clinical performance of the home. This role would suit a commercially minded Care Home Manager who enjoys improving services, developing people, and delivering exceptional standards of care.

You will work alongside an experienced senior leadership team, receiving the support and autonomy needed to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the home as the Care Home Manager, ensuring exceptional standards of elderly care.
  • Deliver and maintain CQC compliance across all areas of the service.
  • Improve quality standards, governance, and resident outcomes.
  • Develop, mentor, and inspire a stable and motivated staff team.
  • Drive occupancy growth through relationship building and excellent service delivery.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and financial performance.
  • Implement effective turnaround strategies where required.
  • Promote person‑centred care and continuous quality improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and local commissioners.
  • Ensure the home achieves excellent operational and commercial performance.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Care Home Manager within an elderly residential or nursing care home.
  • A strong background in turnaround management and improving under‑performing services.
  • Proven experience improving CQC ratings and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people‑management skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional elderly care.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
