The Role

As Nursing Home Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring outstanding clinical care, regulatory compliance and operational performance.

You will lead, inspire and develop the team while maintaining exceptional standards of nursing care, dementia care and end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding clinical governance and quality assurance.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
  • Support residents with complex nursing needs, dementia care and palliative care.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy and overall home performance.
  • Build excellent relationships with residents, relatives, professionals and external agencies.
  • Promote a positive, person-centred culture where residents always come first.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Home Manager, Registered Manager or Clinical Home Manager within a nursing home.
  • Proven experience managing nursing home services.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Strong experience in dementia care and palliative/end-of-life care.
  • Excellent understanding of CQC regulations, governance and compliance.
  • A proven track record of achieving or maintaining Good CQC inspection outcomes.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
