Nursing Home Manager / Registered Manager / Care Home Manager

Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Commutable from Portsmouth, Gosport, Southampton, Havant, Waterlooville, Portchester and surrounding areas
Salary: Circa £80k, depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Home Manager / Registered Manager / Care Home Manager to take overall responsibility for a well-established care home in Fareham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and achieving or maintaining a Good or Outstanding CQC rating.

The Role

As Nursing Home Manager, you will provide strong, visible leadership and take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management, quality and performance of the home.

You will lead and develop the team while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and genuinely person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management and leadership of the home.
  • Maintaining excellent CQC, care and operational standards.
  • Leading, motivating and developing care and nursing teams.
  • Managing recruitment, induction, supervision and performance.
  • Overseeing care plans, medication, safeguarding, audits and quality assurance.
  • Managing staffing, budgets, occupancy and resources.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
  • Working effectively with CQC and other external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Creating a positive, supportive and high-performing care environment.

About You

We are looking for an established Registered Manager or Care Home Manager with a strong track record of successfully managing a care service.

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Care Home Manager or Nursing Home Manager.
  • Proven experience managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by CQC.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing, developing and motivating care teams.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, audits and risk management.
  • Genuine commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Nursing Qualification

You do not need to be a Registered Nurse to apply.

A nursing qualification or clinical background would be advantageous but is not essential.

We welcome applications from experienced residential Registered Managers and Care Home Managers who can demonstrate excellent CQC and operational management experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have personally managed a home through a Good or Outstanding CQC rating, rather than simply having worked within a highly rated service.
