We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager / Area Manager to oversee five nursing homes in Dorset. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a RGN or RMN qualified nurse with strong experience in nursing home management, multi-site operations, CQC compliance and clinical governance. This role is ideal for an experienced Area / Regional / Operations Manager or a high-performing Nursing Home Manager ready to step up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational and clinical leadership across multiple nursing homes
  • Line management, coaching and performance oversight of Home Managers
  • Ensure consistent CQC compliance, safeguarding, MCA & DoLS across all services
  • Drive quality improvement, innovation and best practice, including technology-enabled care
  • Lead service improvement, turnaround and performance management where required
  • Oversee occupancy, staffing, budgets and operational KPIs
  • Build strong relationships with CQC, commissioners, MDTs, residents and families
  • Ensure outstanding, person-centred care is delivered at all times

Essential Requirements (Must-Have)

  • RGN or RMN qualified (NMC registered)
  • Proven experience in Nursing Home Management
  • Experience in multi-site, area, regional or operations management or nursing home managers looking to step up
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and safeguarding
  • Track record of delivering high-quality care and positive CQC outcomes
  • Commercial and operational awareness
  • Passion for innovation, digital systems and modern care delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills
