About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join our dedicated team in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with at least two years’ experience in residential children’s services who is committed to providing exceptional care and support to young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.
- Maintain the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of residential care workers to deliver person-centred care.
- Oversee and review individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes positive outcomes.
- Manage administrative duties including staff rotas, budgeting, and accurate record-keeping.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to support holistic care.
- Encourage professional development within the team and promote internal career progression opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home setting.
- Proven leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
- Relevant Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare (desirable – training support available for the right candidate).
