About the Role
I am seeking a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team at a welcoming residential care home near Gillingham, Kent. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home runs smoothly day‑to‑day, supporting both staff and residents to maintain the highest levels of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the overall management and leadership of the home
- Ensure high standards of care and compliance in line with CQC regulations
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff to promote best practice and a positive working environment
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, audits, and staff training
- Help maintain a safe, caring, and engaging environment for residents, including those living with dementia
- Lead by example with excellent organisation, professionalism, and communication
About You
- Currently working as a Deputy Manager (or in a similar senior role) within a care home setting
- Experienced in a medium to large‑sized home
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 5)
- Knowledgeable in dementia care and person‑centred approaches
- Confident in CQC standards, audits, and compliance
- Highly organised, punctual, and driven to achieve outstanding outcomes for residents
