Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ recent experience as a Registered Manager (or experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress) in a children’s residential setting
  • Proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” outcomes with OFSTED
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of EBD, trauma-informed, and therapeutic care approaches
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Resilient, emotionally intelligent, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to commute to / work in Croydon

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a new 2-bed children’s home, delivering high-quality, child-centred care
  • Oversee the registration and opening of the home, ensuring full compliance with OFSTED regulations and relevant legislation
  • Build, lead, and develop a motivated and skilled staff team
  • Embed trauma-informed and therapeutic practices within the home
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for young people
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, and partner agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain “Good” ouf OFSTED ratings
  • Contribute to the organisation’s growth, with potential progression to dual registration and Responsible Individual (RI)
