We are recruiting an experienced Care Home Manager / Registered Manager to lead a well-established residential elderly care home on the Isle of Wight. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for high-quality, person-centred care and a solid understanding of CQC compliance and care home management.

As Care Home Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational, clinical, and commercial performance of the home, ensuring residents receive outstanding care while maintaining regulatory compliance and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities – Care Home Manager
  • Full operational management of the residential care home
  • Deliver and maintain high-quality, person-centred elderly care
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
  • Act as the Registered Manager and lead CQC inspections and audits
  • Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop care and senior management teams
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Oversee health & safety, risk management, and safeguarding processes
  • Drive occupancy levels and maintain strong relationships with families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals
  • Lead continuous quality improvement, clinical governance, and inspection readiness
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Care Home Manager, Registered Manager, or Deputy Manager
  • Background in elderly care, residential care, or nursing home management
  • Strong knowledge of CQC compliance, safeguarding, and care home legislation
  • Experience managing and developing teams within a care home environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care to older people
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Experience managing a residential care home, nursing home, or dementia care service
  • Health & Social Care management qualification (Level 5 or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one
