Requirements:
• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Qualifications: Level 3 in Children\’s Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
• Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
• Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
• Driving License: Full UK required.
