This is an excellent opportunity for an Operations Manager to join a growing and ambitious provider in the West Yorkshire area. It is an ideal next step for a seasoned Registered Manager or Operations Manager seeking a fresh challenge.
As the Operations Manager, you will guide Registered Managers to meet the standards outlined in the Children\’s Homes Regulations of 2015. This includes offering leadership, mentorship, and support, as well as ensuring the well-being of the managers under your guidance. You will play a pivotal role in providing overall support to the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Overseeing the operation of a children\’s social care service and holding the Responsible Individual registration for the organization.
- Managing the organization\’s budget, including forecasting, preparing financial predictions, setting annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions when needed.
- Acting as the Safeguarding Lead, holding a DSL qualification, and providing expert guidance to managers and staff in safeguarding matters.
- Providing line management to the senior manager and all other management staff within the organization.
- Ensuring compliance across the organization, including monitoring standards and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Promoting a culture of safeguarding through safer recruitment practices.
- Ensuring the proper use of recording systems within the organization.
- Upholding SCCIF and ensuring compliance with statutory guidance related to looked-after children.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a senior management role within a Children\’s Home.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience.
- Proven track record of achieving \”Good\” or \”Outstanding\” key inspection ratings.
- Experience managing teams supporting high-risk young people with complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of the Children\’s Homes Regulations 2015, including the Guide to Quality Standards.
