Are you an experienced Care Home Manager / Registered Manager looking for your next leadership opportunity in Bolton?

We are recruiting an experienced Care Home Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, quality, compliance and performance of a residential care home in Bolton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager or Care Home Manager who is confident leading a team, maintaining high standards of care and driving continuous improvement across a care home.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home, hold an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent), and have a strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and adult social care legislation.

Experience of turnaround management would be highly beneficial, particularly for candidates who have successfully improved care quality, compliance, staffing, occupancy or overall service performance.

The Role

As Care Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management of the home and will provide strong, visible leadership to the care and wider management team.

You will ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and service quality.

You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to ensure the home continues to deliver excellent outcomes for residents, their families and staff.

Key Responsibilities

As Care Home Manager, you will:

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the care home.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and person-centred care.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and adult social care legislation.
• Lead and motivate the care home management and wider staff team.
• Recruit, retain, supervise and develop high-quality care staff.
• Monitor staffing levels, rotas, training and workforce requirements.
• Lead quality assurance, audits, governance and continuous improvement.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and investigations.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and resident records are accurate and regularly reviewed.
• Work closely with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, costs and overall operational performance.
• Drive improvements in care quality, compliance, occupancy and resident experience.
• Develop a positive culture where residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Prepare for and support CQC inspections, ensuring appropriate action is taken following audits and inspections.

Turnaround Experience

Turnaround experience is highly desirable for this role.

We would particularly welcome applications from Care Home Managers or Registered Managers who have previously taken responsibility for a care home requiring improvement and successfully delivered measurable improvements in areas such as:

• Occupancy and financial performance
• Team culture and staff engagement
• Policies, procedures and quality assurance

Candidates without formal turnaround experience will still be considered where they have a strong track record of managing a successful care home.
