We are seeking an experienced and committed Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes in Cannock — one established home currently operating and a second brand-new home preparing to open. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an existing team while playing a key role in developing and launching a new service that delivers exceptional care for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership across both homes, ensuring high-quality, safe, and nurturing care
- Oversee the successful opening, registration, and development of the new children’s home
- Maintain regulatory compliance, safeguarding standards, and positive inspection outcomes
- Lead, support, and develop staff teams to deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care
- Ensure effective care planning, risk management, and placement stability
- Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance across both services
- Build positive relationships with young people, families, and partner professionals
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and inspection frameworks
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Experience opening or developing a children’s home desirable but not essential
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
