We are seeking an experienced and committed Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes in Cannock — one established home currently operating and a second brand-new home preparing to open. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an existing team while playing a key role in developing and launching a new service that delivers exceptional care for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership across both homes, ensuring high-quality, safe, and nurturing care
  • Oversee the successful opening, registration, and development of the new children’s home
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, safeguarding standards, and positive inspection outcomes
  • Lead, support, and develop staff teams to deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care
  • Ensure effective care planning, risk management, and placement stability
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance across both services
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, and partner professionals

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and inspection frameworks
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Experience opening or developing a children’s home desirable but not essential
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
