Successful Applicants

  • Proven experience managing or deputy-managing a children’s home (EBD/SEMH preferred)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of children’s residential legislation, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
  • Confident leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Calm, resilient, and child-focused, with a genuine commitment to improving young lives

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership to a dedicated care team
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement high-quality care plans tailored to each young person
  • Promote a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
  • Manage staffing, rotas, supervision, and professional development
  • Work effectively with placing authorities, families, and external professionals
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support strategies
