We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD children’s home in Burton upon Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed leader who is driven to deliver high-quality, child-centred care and positive outcomes for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
The Role
- The overall management and day-to-day running of the home
- Delivering outstanding, trauma-informed care in line with regulations and best practice
- Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards
- Achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a motivated staff team
- Managing safeguarding, care planning, staff rotas, and budgets
- Building strong relationships with young people, families, and external professionals
About You
- You will ideally have experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge and experience of supporting young people with EBD and complex needs
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- A therapeutic, child-focused approach to leadership and care
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
