An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or Registered Manager to lead a beautiful, small nursing home in Bridport, Dorset.

Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day management of the nursing home
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding, person‑centred care
  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
  • Lead, motivate, and develop nursing, care, and support teams
  • Manage staffing levels, occupancy, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high‑quality care standards
  • Promote a positive and supportive culture throughout the home

Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or Registered Manager
  • Proven experience managing a care home or nursing home service
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, governance, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and manage the home with confidence and autonomy
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents

Desirable

  • Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) preferred but not essential
  • Experience managing a nursing home setting
  • Track record of maintaining good or outstanding quality standards
