Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day management of the nursing home
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding, person‑centred care
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
- Lead, motivate, and develop nursing, care, and support teams
- Manage staffing levels, occupancy, budgets, and resources effectively
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high‑quality care standards
- Promote a positive and supportive culture throughout the home
Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager Requirements
- Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or Registered Manager
- Proven experience managing a care home or nursing home service
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, governance, and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage the home with confidence and autonomy
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents
Desirable
- Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) preferred but not essential
- Experience managing a nursing home setting
- Track record of maintaining good or outstanding quality standards
