We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join a 4-bed residential children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Bradford. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to progress their career within residential childcare while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home
- Lead and supervise staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies, and procedures
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and staff development
- Act as Manager in the Registered Manager’s absence
Requirements:
- Experience in a senior role within a residential children’s home (EBD experience preferred)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
- Flexibility to work a 2 on / 4 off rota, including sleep-ins
