Salary: £37,500 basic + sleep-ins + up to £1,000 annual performance bonus

- £37,500 basic salary
- £50 per sleep-in, with an average of 8–10 sleep-ins per month
- Up to £1,000 annual performance bonus
- Potential earnings of £41,000+ including sleep-ins and bonus

What We're Looking For
- Solid experience working within children's residential care
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory position is desirable
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning and risk management
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop staff
- Child-centred, compassionate and resilient approach
- Understanding of Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations
- Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
- Commitment to therapeutic and nurturing approaches
- Willingness to work towards or complete a Level 5 qualification
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the 3-bed EBD home
- Provide effective leadership and guidance to the residential childcare team
- Act as a positive role model and promote a therapeutic, nurturing environment
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained
- Support the Registered Manager in maintaining the home's strong Ofsted performance
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support
- Ensure young people's needs, wishes and feelings remain central to care delivery
- Support staff through supervision, guidance and ongoing development
- Help coordinate staffing, shifts and the smooth day-to-day operation of the home
- Monitor records, incidents and safeguarding concerns, escalating where appropriate
- Promote positive outcomes across education, wellbeing, independence and personal development
- Build positive relationships with young people, families, social workers and other professionals
- Contribute to quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required
