We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our care group and provide quality, compliance and improvement leadership across a portfolio of nursing homes in Dorset.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Registered Manager, Regional Manager or senior adult social care professional with strong knowledge of CQC regulations, care home governance and quality improvement.

The Role

Working closely with Home Managers and senior leadership, you will monitor and improve standards across our nursing homes, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.

You will be responsible for

  • Conducting quality audits, compliance reviews and service inspections.
  • Reviewing care plans, risk assessments, care records and governance systems.
  • Identifying risks, poor practice, trends and areas requiring improvement.
  • Developing and monitoring quality improvement and action plans.
  • Providing constructive challenge and coaching to Home Managers.
  • Supporting services with CQC inspections, regulatory compliance and commissioner visits.
  • Investigating incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns where required.
  • Monitoring resident and family feedback and promoting excellent resident experience.
  • Providing training, guidance and support on quality standards and best practice.
  • Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based quality reports.
  • Ensuring improvements are implemented, embedded and sustained across services.

About You

You will have

  • Proven experience in quality assurance, quality improvement or senior care management.
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
  • Experience auditing care homes and monitoring improvement plans.
  • The confidence to identify poor practice and provide appropriate professional challenge.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, care planning and governance.
  • A commitment to person-centred care, dignity and resident wellbeing.
  • The ability to manage your own workload across multiple services.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between care homes across Dorset.

Experience within nursing homes, residential care, domiciliary care or specialist care services is desirable.
