We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursing Home Manager to lead a well-established nursing home in Bournemouth, Dorset. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered to residents. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
  • Provide strong leadership to the care team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, including CQC guidelines.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and medication management to ensure that the needs of all residents are met effectively and safely.
  • Manage the financial and operational aspects of the nursing home, including budgets, staff rotas, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the nursing home operates efficiently and effectively, meeting CQC requirements and striving for Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with families, residents, and external professionals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure staff development through regular supervisions, training, and appraisals.

Requirements

  • Nurse Qualified (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with active NMC registration.
  • Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Home Manager, or Registered Manager in a nursing home setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
  • Previous experience in achieving Good CQC reports and a solid understanding of CQC regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the well-being and care of residents, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with dementia, palliative care, or elderly residents is advantageous.
  • Experience managing a large team within a nursing home environment.
