About the Role

As Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management, quality, compliance and performance of multiple supported living services across Abingdon and Didcot. You’ll work closely with Team Leaders, Support Workers, senior management, families, local authorities and healthcare professionals to ensure every individual receives safe, personalised support that promotes independence, choice and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

As our Service Manager you will:

  • Lead multiple Supported Living services across Oxfordshire.
  • Inspire, coach and develop Team Leaders and Support Workers.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Promote high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management and positive behavioural support.
  • Manage recruitment, retention, supervision and performance management.
  • Monitor quality assurance, audits and action plans.
  • Build excellent relationships with commissioners, local authorities, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Manage service budgets and financial performance.
  • Ensure effective rota management and safe staffing levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all services.
  • Support the growth and development of the organisation.

About You

You’ll be an experienced leader who is passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for people with learning disabilities.

Essential

  • Previous management experience within Supported Living or Learning Disability services.
  • Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and positive behavioural support.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting people with Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Experience working with behaviours that challenge.
  • Experience supporting people with sensory or visual impairments.
  • Multi-site management experience.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
  • Registered Manager experience desirable but not essential
