You write ads that sell. You can watch a winning VSL and break down exactly why it works. You read ad comments sections for fun. You've written scripts that stopped thumbs, moved product, and hit CPA targets, and you can prove it.

About Purolabs: Purolabs is an independent, family‑run DTC supplements brand based in South London. We've served over 350,000 customers with clean, science‑backed supplements. No fillers, no additives, no nonsense. Featured in Vogue, Women's Health, and Evening Standard, we're a profitable, fast‑growing brand proving that natural wellness can be both effective and transparent. No shareholders to impress. No cutting corners. Just a genuine mission to help people feel better.

The Role: Creative strategy is our biggest growth lever. We're hiring a Creative Strategist to own the full creative system for our paid advertising, from research and ideation through to briefing, production, and performance analysis. You'll develop ad concepts, write scripts and copy, create briefs, and work with editors and creators to produce ads that convert at scale. This is a performance role. Data guides everything. You'll live inside our ad accounts, study what's working, and use those insights to develop the next round of winning creatives. Creative instinct matters, but the numbers have the final say. Beyond individual ad creation, you'll build and refine the system itself: creative roadmaps, testing cadence, playbooks, feedback loops, and production workflows. The goal is a repeatable engine, not a series of one‑offs. Your primary focus is Meta (Facebook/Instagram). Experience with TikTok or YouTube advertising is a bonus.

What You'll Do:

  • Research & Insight: Mine customer reviews, surveys, forums, and ad comments to understand the language, pain points, and motivations of our audience. Monitor competitor ads, offers, angles, and landing pages across the DTC landscape. Turn research into clear hypotheses and test plans grounded in consumer psychology.
  • Creative Development: Develop ad concepts, hooks, angles, and scripts for video ads, VSLs, and UGC content. Write direct‑response copy for static ads, carousels, and advertorials. Create detailed creative briefs for designers, video editors, and UGC creators. Own landing page strategy and messaging for paid campaigns, working with the team to build high‑converting pages. Build and maintain a library of proven hooks, frameworks, and winning ad structures.
  • Performance & Iteration: Analyse ad account data to identify winning patterns, fatiguing creatives, and new opportunities. Iterate on winning ads at scale, producing variations of hooks, body copy, CTAs, and visual treatments. Run a tight feedback loop: learn from data, iterate on what works, kill what doesn't. Present weekly creative performance reports with clear recommendations for what to test next.
  • Process & Production: Maintain a strong creative cadence: roadmap, launch schedule, timelines, and quality control. Manage creative production flow, approvals, and external vendors. Build and refine playbooks, workflows, and processes to improve creative output over time. Collaborate with our Performance Marketing Manager, designers, video editors, and UGC creators.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in direct‑response creative strategy for DTC e‑commerce (brand‑side, agency, or freelance).
  • Proven track record writing ad scripts, VSL scripts, and static ad copy that delivered measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of direct‑response copywriting principles (AIDA, PAS, and similar frameworks).
  • Deep knowledge of Meta Ads platform and experience working in high‑volume creative testing environments.
  • Experience creating detailed creative briefs and managing creative production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of consumer psychology, buyer motivation, and what makes people click.
  • Ability to analyse ad performance data and translate insights into actionable creative direction.
  • Experience using AI tools like Claude and Gemini.
  • Excellent written English, clear and persuasive.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in health, wellness, supplements, or beauty DTC brands.
  • TikTok or YouTube advertising experience.
  • Experience casting and managing UGC creators.
  • Familiarity with tools like Foreplay, Motion, Triple Whale, or Meta Ad Library.
  • Landing page copywriting or CRO experience.
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar).
  • Basic design skills (Figma or Canva) for static ad concepts.

You'll Thrive Here If You Are:

  • Data‑obsessed. You make creative decisions based on evidence, not gut feeling. You'd rather test than argue.
  • Commercially minded. You care about ROAS and CPA, not just aesthetics. A beautiful ad that doesn't convert is a failed ad.
  • Fast‑moving. You can produce and iterate at pace without sacrificing quality. Speed and volume matter in creative testing.
  • Proactive. You don't wait to be told what to test next. You bring ideas to the table constantly.
  • Detail‑oriented. Your briefs are clear. Your scripts are tight. You spot what others miss.
  • A student of the game. You're constantly saving ads, studying hooks, and analysing what's working across DTC.

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months):

  • Creative strategy is fully owned and running as a consistent, repeatable system.
  • You have deep customer understanding and clear positioning across the funnel.
  • You've made measurable impact on ad performance through stronger creative strategy and faster iteration.
  • Creative roadmap, playbooks, and production workflows are documented and running smoothly.

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote, work from anywhere with at least 4 hours daily overlap with UK timezone.
  • Competitive rate based on experience.
  • Paid time off including UK bank holidays.
  • Creative freedom to test bold ideas and own your work from concept to results.
  • Direct collaboration with founders, no layers of management.
  • A small, dedicated team that values transparency, results, and doing things the right way.
  • Products that genuinely help people feel better.

How to Apply: Your application must include:

  • A portfolio of ad creative work. Show us ads you've written or developed, with context on the results they drove. This can be a PDF, website, Google Drive link, or Notion page. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • A short Vocaroo recording (2‑3 minutes) introducing yourself, what you've worked on, and why this role interests you. Applications without a Vocaroo will not be considered.

This is a remote independent contractor role, not employment. Applications are welcome globally.
