We are working with a highly respected building envelope consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Façade Engineer to join its growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who is looking for greater responsibility across project leadership, client management, technical delivery and business development. You will be joining an established and technically driven team working on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, education and landmark developments throughout London and the UK. The Role As an Associate Façade Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of façade engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will take ownership of projects and client relationships, provide senior technical advice and support the development of junior engineers, while also contributing to the continued growth of the London business. The role will provide the opportunity to work closely with architects, contractors, developers, manufacturers and multidisciplinary design teams on some of the capital's most exciting developments. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical delivery of façade engineering projects across London and the wider UK. Take responsibility for projects from concept and design development through to construction. Manage client relationships and act as a senior technical point of contact. Provide specialist advice across curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing, roofing and specialist façade systems. Undertake and review façade designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports. Lead design reviews, technical workshops, client meetings and site inspections. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, manufacturers and other consultants. Provide technical solutions to complex façade and building envelope challenges. Mentor and support Graduate, Façade and Senior Façade Engineers. Assist with fee proposals, project planning, resource management and commercial delivery. Support business development activities and help develop new and existing client relationships. Contribute to the continued growth and development of the London façade engineering team. About You We are looking for an experienced Façade Engineer who is ready to take on greater technical, commercial and client-facing responsibility. Ideally, you will have: A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Façade Engineering or a related discipline. Significant experience within façade engineering or building envelope consultancy. Strong technical knowledge across façade systems, materials, structural behaviour, thermal performance and weatherproofing. Experience delivering façade projects from concept through to detailed design and construction. Proven experience managing clients and working within multidisciplinary project teams. Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills. Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers. Good commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
