Puro Associates are delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in Newcastle who are looking to appoint an experienced Client Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys building strong, long-term client relationships and taking ownership of a diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounts, providing commercial advice and ensuring a consistently high level of service.
The Role
- Managing and developing a portfolio of clients
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Acting as a key point of contact and providing proactive support and advice
- Reviewing accounts and other client work
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Identifying opportunities to add value and develop client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver an excellent client experience
About You
We’re looking for someone who is qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) and has previous experience working within an accountancy practice. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Previous experience reviewing accounts/work produced by junior team members
- A strong technical accounting background
- The confidence to deal directly with clients and provide trusted advice
- A commercially minded and proactive approach
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with clients, building relationships and taking ownership of your portfolio.
