As a Solicitor in our Catastrophic and Serious Injuries department, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of high-value, complex personal injury claims. You will work closely with clients who have suffered life-altering injuries, including but not limited to brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputations, and severe trauma. Your role will involve providing expert legal advice, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of catastrophic and serious injury claims from instruction to settlement or trial
  • Advising clients on all aspects of personal injury law, particularly in relation to serious injuries
  • Conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and drafting correspondence
  • Liaising with medical professionals, experts, and counsel to ensure the best possible outcome for clients
  • Negotiating settlements and handling mediation processes where appropriate
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, as needed
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor in the UK with at least 3+ years of PQE (Post-Qualified Experience)
  • Proven experience in handling catastrophic and serious injury cases
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to handle complex and high-value claims independently
  • Empathetic and client-focused, with the ability to work sensitively with individuals affected by life-changing injuries
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach to case management and a passion for achieving justice for clients
