Private Law Solicitor
Location: Bolton
Salary: Competitive / Negotiable DOE
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
The Opportunity
Puro Associates are working with an established legal practice in Bolton who are looking to appoint an experienced Private Law Solicitor to join their busy Family Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor looking to manage a varied caseload of Private Family Law matters, with the opportunity to work across both Legal Aid and privately funded cases.
The successful candidate will join a supportive team with ongoing training, guidance and development available.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, covering a range of Private Family matters including:
- Divorce and financial matters
- Private law children cases
- Domestic violence matters
- Legal Aid and privately funded family work
- Advising and supporting clients throughout their matters
- Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
- Negotiating with opposing parties and representatives
- Attending court hearings where required
- Conducting your own advocacy
- Managing files in accordance with relevant procedures and deadlines
- Using CCMS and working within Legal Aid requirements
- Maintaining high standards of client care and file management
The position will also involve occasional travel to courts and other offices, so a full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in Private Family Law
- Experience handling your own caseload
- Good knowledge of Legal Aid and CCMS
- Experience across divorce, finance and private children matters
- Confidence conducting your own advocacy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Good IT skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- A friendly, professional and approachable manner
