You will have the opportunity to work on high-quality Private Client matters, develop your own client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth of the department. Hybrid working is also available after three months in office spent familiarising yourself with the firm.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied Private Client caseload while providing a high level of service to a diverse client base.
The role will also involve supporting the development of more junior members of the team and contributing to the wider growth of the department through networking, marketing and business development activities.
Key areas of work will include:
- Estate administration, including matters involving inheritance tax
- Creation and administration of trusts
- Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Preparation of estate and trust accounts
- Advising clients throughout the full lifecycle of their matters
- Maintaining and developing existing client relationships
- Building new client relationships through networking and business development
- Supporting and mentoring fee earners and support staff
- Contributing to the continued development and success of the wider team
About You
We are looking for an experienced Private Client solicitor who is confident dealing directly with clients and able to manage their own caseload effectively.
You will ideally have:
- 5-10 years' PQE
- Previous experience working within a Private Client department
- Experience in estate administration, trusts, Wills and LPAs
- Previous experience of supervising, supporting or mentoring colleagues
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- A proactive approach to business development and networking
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
- A professional, empathetic and personable approach to client care
- The ability to work towards agreed fee and business development targets
