About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of hospitality clients across the North East. This is a client-facing role combining technical accounting expertise with strong relationship management, ensuring clients receive accurate financial reporting, commercial insight, and proactive support. The role is primarily remote, with regular travel to client sites across the North East and periodic attendance at the Merseyside office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of hospitality clients, acting as their primary accounting contact
- Prepare and review yearend accounts, management accounts, financial statements, and reports
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for clients
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular visits and communication
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and drive efficiency for client
About You:
- Qualified accountant (AAT, QBE, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in an accounting role (practice), ideally with hospitality or multi-client portfolios
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Willing to travel regularly across the North East
- Able to attend the Merseyside office on a bi-weekly basis (reducing to monthly once settled)
