Duties
- Manage residential conveyancing matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Handle a caseload of sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Prepare, review and progress contracts, transfer documents and other legal documentation.
- Communicate regularly with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
- Conduct property searches and deal with enquiries and title documentation.
- Liaise with the Land Registry and other relevant third parties to progress transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
- Monitor key dates and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Manage exchange and completion procedures.
- Provide clear and professional updates to clients throughout the transaction.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with relevant procedures and compliance requirements.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience handling residential conveyancing matters.
- A strong understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
- Experience managing your own caseload.
- Excellent communication and client-care skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills and experience using conveyancing case management systems.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive, professional and client-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
