We are working with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Credit Hire Litigator to join their growing team in either Liverpool or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Credit Hire Litigator to manage a varied and rewarding caseload within a supportive environment, with strong prospects for development.

The Role as a Credit Hire Litigator

As a Credit Hire Litigator, you will manage your own caseload of credit hire files, handling both fast track and multi-track claims from instruction through to settlement or trial. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a full caseload of litigated credit hire matters
  • Negotiating settlements in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Liaising with credit hire providers and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Dealing with liability and disputed cases
  • Ensuring effective client care and communication throughout the claims process

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Credit Hire Litigator (defendant or claimant background considered)
  • Strong working knowledge of Credit Hire case law, MOJ protocols, Pre-Action Protocol, and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
  • Strong knowledge of the personal injury claims process
  • Results-focused, with awareness of KPIs such as settlement rates, billing, and case durations
  • Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and case management skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to resolving disputes
