- Supporting fee earners throughout the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
- Managing communications with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors.
- Opening files and completing AML and client due diligence checks.
- Requesting searches, title documents and redemption statements.
- Reviewing and preparing conveyancing documentation.
- Drafting and issuing contract packs.
- Preparing replies to enquiries and requisitions.
- Assisting with exchanges and completions.
- Preparing completion statements and bills.
- Maintaining accurate file records and updating the case management system.
- Dealing with post-completion administration.
- Proactively progressing transactions and keeping clients updated.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant within a residential property team.
- Experience supporting freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
- Knowledge of AML and client verification requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting fee earners and clients.
