We are recruiting for a Qualified Chartered Accountant to join a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of accountants based in Newcastle. This firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, partner-led service to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and continues to grow year on year. This role would suit a Chartered Accountant with solid practice experience who enjoys developing long-term client relationships, delivering commercially focused advice, and playing an active role within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The Role
As a Chartered Accountant, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, acting as a trusted point of contact and adviser. You will be involved in both the technical delivery of work and the ongoing development of the firm and its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients as a Chartered Accountant, including owner-managed businesses and SMEs
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Reviewing corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns
- Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing practical and commercially focused guidance
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Assisting partners with workflow management and contributing to the firm’s continued growth and development
The Ideal Candidate:
- Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
