Job Title: Housing Caseworker
Location: Stratford, London E15
Salary: Up to £50,000
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and committed Housing Caseworker to join a well-established Community Law Team with expertise across a broad range of social welfare law, including housing and debt, community care, and mental health. The team has a strong reputation in housing law, having led significant cases over the past two decades, and is recognised by leading legal directories such as Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and assistance on a range of housing law matters
- Manage a caseload, including litigation where appropriate
- Support clients facing housing issues, including homelessness, eviction, and disrepair
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Community Law Team
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant procedures
- Contribute to the continued development of the housing law practice
Person Specification:
- Some knowledge and experience of housing law and litigation (desirable)
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to social justice and supporting vulnerable clients
