Puro Associates are pleased to be working with a leading accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Hereford. The firm provides a wide range of accounting services to clients in various industries and are looking for a bookkeeper who can manage a portfolio of clients with accuracy and attention to detail, using double entry bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records for clients using double entry bookkeeping
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial accounts using double entry bookkeeping
- Manage and process payroll, including tax and other deductions, using double entry bookkeeping
- Prepare and file VAT returns using double entry bookkeeping
- Communicate with clients regarding financial matters and respond to their queries in a timely manner
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software, such as "Xero or QuickBooks"
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
