Childcare Solicitor – Leicester
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
A well-established law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its growing family law team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven childcare lawyer looking to join a supportive team and take on a varied caseload, working on complex and rewarding matters involving children and families.

The Role
You will advise and represent clients across a broad range of childcare proceedings, including:
- Emergency Protection Orders (EPOs)
- Special Guardianship Orders
- Adoption matters
- Private law applications, including Rule 16.4 cases
- Separate representation of competent children
- Advocacy and representation at hearings
You will be expected to manage your own caseload effectively, provide clear and practical legal advice, and work with minimal supervision.
About You
- 5+ years' PQE in childcare law, although relevant experience will be considered
- Strong advocacy and case management experience
- Experience dealing with a broad range of public and private children matters
- Children's Panel accreditation, or be actively working towards accreditation, would be advantageous
- An established guardian following would be welcomed
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team
- A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters
- A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families
